Do you know how many people in the world own a mobile phone? Take a guess.

Up to date, the number of people who own a mobile phone has far surpassed 6 billion and will continue to rise in number. It is stated that China, India and the United States has the highest number of mobile phone users. A survey has been conducted and found that near half of the respondent spend an average of 5 to 6 hours just on their mobile phones alone. This does not include the time they spend doing work-related work.

Since majority of us have been spending more time on our phones, businesses have slowly moved themselves online as well. Some examples of business who are capitalizing their businesses online are: Netflix, Spotify, Youtube, and Instagram. Let’s talk about Netflix.

Exactly why is Netflix so well-know and popular? What did they do so well that people are actually paying for subscription on a monthly basis?

Firstly, Netflix is so easy to use. All you have to do is sign up for an account with your phone number and email. You’re done. With every new account, you get to enjoy a 7 day trial where you can have premium access and watch all the shows available and stream on multiple devices. If you enjoy the experience with Netflix, the subscription pricing is also very affordable, hence many choose to continue with their subscription plans.

Second, Netflix constantly update new episodes and adds in more new shows. They even have their own Netflix Original shows that is only available on their app! Users can download the shows they like and watch it offline without using their mobile phone data. Often, you can find people travelling to places, employees on their lunch break, or just relaxing all watching their favorite shows on Netflix. Lastly, Netflix does not interrupt your shows with ads at all. This, I would say is the winning point. Personally, I hate having to be cut off with an ad in the midst while watching any shows.
